Braunwald
Braunwald is the family destination in the Glarus Alps. A car-free family oasis where children can laugh, parents can recharge and grandparents can relax, with plenty to do for families and children: hiking, sledging, mountain biking and paragliding.
The Braunwaldbahn funicular takes you from Linthal to car-free Braunwald, at 1256 metres, in 7 minutes. Once at the top, you leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind.
Summer
In summer, too, you will find your own adventure in Braunwald: hiking, climbing, scootering, paragliding, romantic carriage rides, or simply enjoying the sunrise. Braunwald is one big adventure playground where you can let off steam, completely undisturbed by car traffic. Several beautiful hikes start right at the chalet.

Children
Children find what they dream of in Braunwald too: fairytale caves full of secrets, enchanted dwarfs and rushing streams. There are very child-friendly walks, also with a baby stroller, and several playgrounds. The chalet has a baby bed and a high chair.

Winter
Anyone who arrives in snow-covered Braunwald on a beautiful winter's day knows why people talk of a fairytale world up here. Sledging and winter walks under a blue sky: Braunwald is a real winter wonderland. And after an active day, the fireplace is waiting at the chalet.

The Lädeli in Schwettiberg, a small supermarket for the essentials, is 8 minutes on foot from the chalet.
